No confirmation on stabbing
North Wales Police unable to confirm if a man was stabbed during the incident. Witnesses claimed there had been a stabbing and saw a man covered in blood.
Police confirm they are investigating a robbery
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “North Wales Police are investigating an incident of a robbery at a store on Station Road Queensferry. The incident happened at approximately 6.30pm on the 8th of December 2016. Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of Station Road and the surrounding area between 6-7pm who have may have seen anything suspicious. North Wales Police have one male person in custody who is helping with our inquiries and inquiries are continuing. If anyone has any information or has witnessed anything that is suspicious, please contact the police on 101 or contact Mold CID.”
Neighbour tells of concern
A woman who lived nearby said
“The police came and knocked on the door and they were looking for CCTV that they could have. The man was rushed away in the ambulance, I hope he is okay.”

Forensic investigations were underway earlier following the incident.
Witness sees aftermath
One witness said:
“We were in KFC at the time so didn’t see it happening but we saw the aftermath. There was an older looking guy who looked to be losing a lot of blood. He had a white jumper on and was holding his neck. I’m not sure if it happened in or outside Costcutters but there is a heavy police presence and they officers took the injured man back into the shop and closed the shutters. There was lots of shouting and arm waving and the man was covered in blood, holding his neck. There were a few people outside Costcutters after it and lots of flashing lights and sirens.
