PwllheliNorth Wales - Pensioner jailed for exposing himself to women from his living room

Ifan Leslie McClelland was said to have shown 'no remorse or empathy' for his victims

A pensioner found guilty of flashing at two women from his living room has been jailed for six months.
Ifan Leslie McClelland denied three allegations of intentionally exposing himself but failed to turn up for his trial.
After being found guilty in his absence a warrant was issued for his arrest, and the 70-year-old handed himself in last month.
Prosecutor Diane Williams said that in May one of the women had seen McClelland standing on a sofa in the living room of his house, facing the window and “playing” with himself.
She said he was “naked” and had shouted to her to come into his house at Tan y Barty, Pwllheli.
He had also shouted to ask her if he could “lick” her breasts.

Mrs Williams said McClelland had also asked a second woman if he could carry out a sex act with her while he was “playing with his private parts”.
When police arrived they found McClelland’s living room window wide open with him sitting naked on a chair positioned to face the street.
He told officers at interview he was naked because it was a warm day.
McClelland’s solicitor, Deborah Davies, said he had been poorly at the time of his trial. She said disabled McClelland had no previous convictions.
Asking the magistrates for leniency in sentencing, Mrs Davies said there had been no further incidents and that a restraining order would be enough to protect women.
Sentencing him to a total of six months custody, bench chairman Elfed ap Gomer said McClelland had conducted a sex act “in full view of the public.”
He said: “We are concerned you have shown no remorse or empathy to your victims. Indeed you have not seemed to accept your guilt.”
McClelland was ordered to stay on the sex offenders register for seven years, the Daily Post reports, and to have an indefinite restraining order not to contact any of the women by any means.
He was also ordered to pay court costs totalling £735.
