A VEHICLE which was deliberately set alight set fire to a garage.

Two fire crews from Wrexham were called out just after 2.30am on Saturday morning to reports of a car fire which had spread to a garage in Elm Grove in Wrexham.

A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue service said the garage and car were engulfed in flames when they arrived.

The cews used a thermal imaging camera and breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.

“The car and garage were gutted,” he added.
