Llandudno,North Wales - Cute rabbits dumped on the Great Orme in Llandudno saved by jogger

Nikki Adams was running near the Rest and Be Thankful Cafe, on the Great Orme, when she spotted the two rabbits

A jogger rescued two rabbits that had been abandoned on the Great Orme, in Llandudno.
Nikki Adams was out running on Monday morning near the Rest and Be Thankful Cafe, on the Great Orme, when she spotted a lopsided bunny.
At first she thought someone had lost their pet, but then spotted it was in a neglected state and realised the rabbit had probably been dumped.
Nikki said: “I then noticed there was another lopsided bunny close by, and I knew I couldn’t just leave them there especially as a dog walker told me he’d spotted a fox had been eyeing them up.”
Nikki ran down the Orme and hailed a passing taxi to drive her home to grab her cat box before racing back to where she had originally spotted the bunnies.
“Luckily they were still there, although one of them tried to hide from me in a nearby stone wall, but I managed to grab her,” said Nikki.

She took them for a check up at Holmes & Murphy Vet’s in Llandudno, and they declared the rabbits were healthy if in a neglected state.
“They seem to be sisters, and one of them has lost a bit of her fur, probably down to fleas,” said Nikki.
“I would have loved to take them in myself, but I’ve just got a puppy and already have a guinea pig and tortoise.”
Nikki called the RSPCA who came to collect the rabbits and they are now being cared for at Bryn y Maen RSPCA centre, in Colwyn Bay.
She added: “They were really sweet girls. I named them Holly and Ivy.
“It was so sad to see them just dumped on the Orme like that.
“The fox could easily have got them, and I knew I couldn’t just leave them.

“Whoever did this could at least have left them at the RSPCA or at a vet’s.”
