The case against a North Wales teenager charged with stealing women’s underwear during Christmas Day house burglaries has been sent to the crown court.
John Junior Sillah, 19, made his first appearance at Flintshire Magistrates’ Court from custody.
Sillah, of Mornington Crescent in Drury, Buckley, is charged with a house burglary at Hanson Drive, Buckley, on Christmas Day, where it is alleged that he stole underwear and ladies’ clothing.
It is alleged he had also burgled the same premises when it is alleged that he stole ladies’ clothing, underwear and a house key, back in April.
The defendant is charged with a Christmas Day burglary at a house in Chester Road, Mold, where it is alleged that he stole money, ladies’ clothing and underwear; attempting to burgle another house in Chester Road, Mold, on Christmas Day, and burglary at another house in Chester Road, Mold, on the same day, when it is alleged that he stole a jacket to a value unknown.
Sillah is further charged with possessing a quantity of cannabis, a class B drug, at the time of his arrest on Wednesday.
Prosecutor Rhian Jackson said it was the prosecution case that he had burgled houses and stolen women’s underwear for his own sexual gratification.
She applied for a remand in custody.
Defending solicitor Simon Simmonds did not apply for bail.
Sillah was remanded in custody to appear at a plea hearing at Mold Crown Court at the end of January.
