The cause of the fire has yet to be established but the fire service and the North Wales force are investigating the blaze
Around 200 hay bales were found on fire at a Deeside farm this afternoon, prompting police to issue an appeal for witnesses to the blaze.
The fire broke out just after lunchtime and fire crews from Deeside and Buckley were called to Shottick Road, Sealand, after the alarm was raised.
The two crews decided that the best course of action would be to let the fire burn out naturally, after it was established the flames did not pose a risk to buildings nor nearby residents.
The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire has yet to be established, but police have launched an appeal for witnesses.
The force’s rural crime team, tweeted: "200 bale straw fire today at Deeside attended by the team, thankfully no one hurt.
“We are appealing for witnesses or info to 101 please.”
