Two have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 47-year-old man was stabbed on a street.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, December 27 on Mill Court in Hafodyrynys, near Newbridge.
The 47-year-old man who was injured remains in a critical condition at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff .
'The man received stab wounds to the torso'
A police statement said: “The man, from Pontypool , received stab wounds to the torso. It happened outside, on the street, at about 3.45am.”
Two men, aged 35 and 32, have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in police custody.
Gwent Police said enquiries are ongoing and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
