Anglesey,North Wales - Man accused of Christmas Day knife attack

Geno Maher, 44, of Bethesda Street, Amlwch, was remanded in custody following an incident at the Tyddyn Mostyn estate in Menai Bridge

An Anglesey man accused of a Christmas Day attack in which a knife was allegedly used has been remanded in custody.
Geno Maher, 44, of Bethesda Street, Amlwch, appeared at a special court at Llandudno on Tuesday.
He was charged with maliciously wounding David Doherty with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
The incident was said by Diane Williams, prosecuting, to have happened in a flat on the Tyddyn Mostyn estate at Menai Bridge .
Glyn Roberts, defending, applying for bail, said Maher and Mr Doherty had known each other since childhood.
Maher was remanded in custody and will appear at Caernarfon crown court on January 30.
Mr Doherty is receiving hospital treatment for hand injuries.
