A MAN thrown out of a Carmarthen pub following a fight returned an hour later and glassed another man in a second confrontation - then went to his girlfriend's house and kicked in a door.
Lee David Frost had been drinking in The Plume of Feathers pub on October 23 when he was ejected from the premises by other users after getting into a fight.
But Swansea Crown Court heard he later returned, and 'started making a nuisance of himself', including rubbing the head of another visitor, James Thomas, a 59-year-old whose movements had been restricted by a stroke ten years earlier.
Paul Hobson, prosecuting, said: "He was putting his hands on him, and Mr Thomas objected.
"But that then developed into a scuffle, and the defendant lunged at Mr Thomas, grabbing him and Mr Thomas fell to the ground.
"He got back up and grabbed the defendant and a more serious struggle began, during which he [Frost] picked up a glass and smashed it against the left hand side of the face".
Other people in the pub came to break up the confrontation, which was caught on CCTV and shown in court, including a woman, Sonia Mann, who suffered a cut to her eyebrow 'possibly by falling glass, possibly by the defendant, or a combination of the two'.
Mr Thomas was taken to Glangwili Hospital following the incident, where he was treated for a cut to the head and ear, and a nose fracture.
Frost, then aged 28, went to his girlfriend's house after the incident, where she hid upstairs with a friend as he banged to be allowed in, eventually breaking a patio door.
Mitigating, Stuart John told the court: "He has little or no recollection of the incident because he was so drunk at the time.
"He has an issue with alcohol and had abstained for a period of time and therefore it consequently affected him greatly on this day. That does not explain it but puts it in context".
Frost, of Waterloo Terrace in Carmarthen, who was said to have a 'positive work ethic and history' pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and criminal damage.
He was jailed for four years, six months and seven days respectively for each offence, to run concurrently.
