POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses after a man was assaulted on Llanelli's Sandy Road after a road rage incident.
Officers say at 9.20am on Saturday, a man in his thirties was assaulted opposite the CEM Days car garage following the traffic incident.
Discussing the incident, PC Owain Protheroe said: "The incident took place at 9.20 on a busy stretch of road near CEM garage and Coleg Sir Gar.
"A gentleman was punched twice to the face and we would now like to see if anyone spotted the incident.
"We are not used to seeing an incident like this, it is quite unusual. What has happened is there has been a road rage incident, where one vehicle tried to over take the other.
"Both pulled up and had a verbal argument which resulted in the assault.
"There were no injuries, the man just had a couple of dabs across his face, but there may have been a lot of people in the area at the time and we are keen to speak to them."
Can you help officers? Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact PC 469 Protheroe on 101 quoting the ref number ALT/0469/17/12/2016/01/C.
