RESIDENTS are being warned to remain vigilant after garden equipment was stolen in Old Colwyn.
This morning North Wales Police tweeted about the incidents - in the Llysfaen Road and Peulwys Estate areas - which both occurred between the evening of Sunday, December 11 and the morning of Monday, December 12.
At the address in Llysfaen Road a shed was broken into and an assortment of items were stolen including golf clubs, a lawnmower and a strimmer, while at the address in Peulwys Estate a petrol lawnmower was stolen from a garden.
Police have now issued advice on upgrading security in an effort to prevent further shed and garden related thefts.
Tips include ensuring the shed is in good condition, fitting heavy duty pad-bolts, fitting key operated locks on windows and fixing mesh or bars inside windows.
