David Daniel Hayes, 38, of Llanwrst, last appeared in court on November 24 last year
A former Bangor City FC press officer who went on the run after being charged with child sex offences remains at large one year on.
David Daniel Hayes, 38, of Llanwrst, faces charges of raping a child and committing other sex offences against children on Anglesey.
He last appeared in court on November 24 last year and was bailed to attend Mold Crown Court on December 18 where he was expected to enter a plea.
However, Hayes did not show up at court and police have so far failed to track him down.
North Wales Police Chief Inspector Andrew Williams said officers continue in their efforts to trace Hayes and are appealing for help from the public.
He said: “We are currently working with a number of partner agencies in an effort to trace his current whereabouts.
“In the meantime I would encourage anyone with any information in this regard to call North Wales Police.”
When Hayes initially disappeared a spokesman for the police previously said that all forces throughout the United Kingdom were notified about the outstanding warrant on Hayes.
Hayes has previously lived in Gwynedd and Anglesey.
Police believe he may have fled abroad.
North Wales Police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) were criticised last year over the way they handled Hayes’ case.
At Hayes’ first court appearance back in November, Judge Rhys Rowlands slammed the CPS and the police for failing to have the allegations brought to trial within three months of them being made.
Anyone with information should call North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
