Wrexham,North Wales - AFC's player fined for drunk and disorderly incident

Wes York

The 22 year-old Dragons star has been fined £160 for the incident, which took place after the Dragons' 4-0 home win over Gateshead last month

Wrexham AFC star Wes York has apologised to the club after he was fined for being drunk and disorderly on a night out in Chester.
The Dragons attacker pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at West Cheshire Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The incident outside Cruise nightclub in Chester city centre took place on November 15, after the 22-year-old had played in a 4-0 home win over Gateshead.
York, of Netherfield Road in Anstey, Leicestershire, was fined £160 for being drunk and disorderly and also ordered to pay court costs totalling £255.
Wrexham AFC says the player, who joined from Nuneaton in 2014, will be dealt with internally.

A club statement said: “Wes York has pleaded guilty at Chester Magistrates Court to being drunk and disorderly in Chester on the night 15 November.
“He apologised in court for his behaviour and has since apologised to the first team manager Gary Mills and everyone associated with the club.
“Wes will meet with the manager this morning and the matter will be dealt with internally.
“ Gary Mills will also take the opportunity to re-emphasis to all the playing squad their responsibilities to the club and the community, and the high standards that are expected of them at all times.”
York’s court appearance comes after teammate James Gray was banned from driving for just under two years last month after he was found behind the wheel almost three times the legal limit.
