Jon Pritchard, 34, said Christmas presents as well as birthday gifts and even a cake for his young son Lewis were taken

Police are investigating after a family’s Christmas gifts were allegedly stolen during a break-in in Swansea.
Devastated dad Jon Pritchard, 34, captured someone on CCTV who is alleged to be breaking into his car and stealing presents meant for his four children.
They included £200 worth of Christmas toys as well as birthday gifts for his nine-year-old son Lewis and a cake.
Project manager Jon said: “I’m absolutely devastated but more sad for my boy as he was sobbing his eyes out.
“I’m going to really struggle this Christmas — I was struggling as it was.”

Jon, of Treboeth, Swansea, posted CCTV images of the alleged break-in to Facebook and they have been shared 9,000 times.
He said: “I’ve had hundreds of messages from total strangers. It’s pretty overwhelming.
“It’s brought tears to my eyes some of the generosity people are showing – offering me presents, money, all sorts.”
The dad-of-four told how he received a knock on the door at 8pm on Saturday asking if his car was for sale.
A day later his wife went to the family car to retrieve her son’s birthday cake - but found the glove box had been ransacked and the boot was empty.

“A guy knocked on my door at around 8.05pm on Saturday evening asking if my car was for sale,” he said.
“I thought that was a bit strange.
“It wasn’t until Sunday evening – my partner went to the car to get my boy’s birthday cake and she found the glove box was upside-down and the presents had been stolen from the boot.”
The shocked couple then reported the incident to police who have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Police in Swansea are investigating the theft of property, including Christmas and birthday gifts and a birthday cake, from a car which was parked outside a property.”
