A FAMILY has been left "devastated" after their nine-year-old son's birthday presents, birthday cake, and Christmas presents for four children were stolen in a break in.
Jon Pritchard, of Treboeth, Swansea, captured images on his home CCTV system of what appears to be someone breaking into his car.
Inside was his son Lewis's birthday presents and birthday cake, as well as around Christmas gifts worth £200 for Lewis and his sisters Chloe, Jessica, and Lucy.
All of those items are now missing, and Mr Pritchard, a project manager for a specialist flood defence company, hopes police will catch whoever is responsible.
"I'm absolutely devastated, but more sad for my boy as he was sobbing his eyes out," said the 34-year-old.
"I'm going to really struggle this Christmas — I was struggling as it was."

Mr Pritchard reported the incident, which took place at around 8.55pm on Saturday night, to the police.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Police in Swansea are investigating the theft of property, including Christmas and birthday gifts and a birthday cake from a car which was parked outside a property at Penlan Grove in Treboeth."
The images from Mr Pritchard's CCTV system have been posted on Facebook and have been shared more than 5,000 times, as he appealed for information to help police.
"A guy knocked on my door at around 8.05pm on Saturday evening asking if my car was for sale," he said.
"I thought that was a bit strange.
"It wasn't until Sunday evening, my partner went to the car to get my boy's birthday cake, and she found the glove box was upside-down and the presents had been stolen from the boot."
Since sharing the CCTV footage on Facebook, Mr Pritchard has been inundated with messages.

"I've had hundreds of messages from total strangers," he said. "It's pretty overwhelming.
"It's brought tears to my eyes some of the generosity people are showing, offering me presents, money, all sorts."
Officers investigating the incident are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in on Saturday evening in the area to contact them on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 and quote reference 1500451321.
