Porthcawl,North Wales - Shocking moment a driver ploughs into revellers outside a nightclub after racing away from police

These CCTV images were released after Ryan Ford, 24, was jailed for three years 10 months for injuring 21 people stood in a smoking shelter outside Porthcawl

The speed with which a 24-year-old driver raced away from police before hitting nightclub revellers in Porthawl is captured graphically in this CCTV clip.
Ryan Ford of Porthawl was jailed for three years 10 months on Friday after admitting a string of offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The CCTV footage shows the white Audi which he was driving tearing through the streets of Porthcawl in October this year.
Ford, who had earlier been thrown out of Streets nightclub for trying to take in his own alcohol, lost control of the vehicle and hit revellers in the same nightclub's smoking shelter.
Cardiff Crown Court heard during his sentencing hearing that 21 people were injured, six of whom were seriously hurt.
One said he was "lucky to be alive".

In her comments, Judge Eleri Rees QC was scathing about Ford’s actions.
She said: “It was a deliberate decision to disregard road safety and the welfare of others.
“Police wanted you to stop. You were prepare to drive dangerously to avoid arrest.
“You ignored the desperate pleas of your passenger who appeared to be terrified.
“You were driving without insurance.”

She added: “Most of the victims suffered fractures to their lower limbs. These were young people, many at an exciting time in their life starting university.
“One hoped to become a professional sportsman.
“They were life-changing injuries for many of these victims.
“It’s simply a miracle that nobody was killed during this incident.”
