Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured following a collision in Llandudno last night (Wednesday December 10).
Shortly after 10pm police were called by the Ambulance Service following a report that an elderly man had been in collision with a vehicle on Nevill Crescent.
The road was closed and the 80-year-old man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor. He has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious life threatening injuries.
Officers are appealing to anybody who may have been in the area at the time of the collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number S188180.
The road was re-opened shortly after 1am today.
A spokesman for the Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.04pm last night, Wednesday December 9, to a road traffic accident involving a pedestrian on Nevill Crescent in Llandudno.
We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car, a crew in an emergency ambulance and a BASICS doctor to the scene.
A man was taken to Bangor’s Ysbyty Gwynedd with serious injuries."
