More than 20 firefighters battled the blaze which started on Wednesday night
Arsonists are believed to be behind a massive blaze which closed a major road near Chirk.
A joint investigation by North Wales Police and the fire service has been launched into the cause of the fire , which took hold at roughly 8pm on Wednesday.
Smoke from the blaze closed the A5 in both directions as four crews and more than 20 firemen tackled the blaze.
The fire broke out in a lorry container and North Wales Fire and Rescue said it is believed to have been started deliberately using “smoking materials”.
The former cafe, which is a portakabin, still had propane gas cylinders on site, and there were concerns they could have exploded.
Fire fighters were still dampening down until 2.40am yesterday.
A cafe nearby also suffered minor damage in the blaze.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “There will be an investigation jointly with the police, but we don’t have any more information at this time.”
