Four men from Liverpool charged with murder following an incident at a North Wales supermarket car park have all pleaded not guilty this morning.
They will go on trial on April 25.
The men are all charged with jointly murdering Mark Mason, 48, of Rhyl, in the Home Bargains car park in Marsh Road, Rhyl, on October 27.
Defendants James Davies, aged 20 of Moscow Drive, Anthony Baines, aged 30 of Sutcliffe Street, Jake Melia, aged 21 of Eastbourne Road and Mark Ennis, aged 30 of Bedford Road are also accused of maliciously wounding Justin Tricket and Sam Illidge, with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, on the same night.
They appeared at Mold Crown Court today and denied all three charges.
Judge Eleri Rees appeared via a live television link, from Cardiff Crown Court, and set a time-table for the proceedings.
The prosecution will serve the bulk of its case in January and defence statements will be in by Mid February.
A pre-trial review will be held in March.
Prosecutor Simon Mills said that he would be led by Paul Lewis QC.
All four were remanded in custody – an application for bail by Melia was refused.
The trial is expected to last three to four weeks.
Father-of-two, Mr Mason, who was known as Cecil, died of his injuries after allegedly being stabbed in the store car park at around 7.30pm.
