A man's body has been recovered from the sea near Aberystwyth.
Dyfed Powys Police say the discovery is unrelated to yesterday’s incident where a man died after two people were pulled from the water by the Aberystwyth Lifeboat.
A spokesperson for the Aberystwyth RNLI crew confirmed that, at 7am this morning, a fishing vessel reported a casualty in the water around four miles off the coast of Aberystwyth.
The body was later brought back to the lifeboat station.
A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police can confirm a body of a male has been recovered from the water between Aberystwyth and Borth this morning.
“Enquiries are being made to identify the male. This is in no way related to yesterday’s incident at Aberystwyth Harbour.”
