Conwy,North Wales - Police reveal what man found in Cerrigydrudion forest could look like

Last November human remains were discovered in a forest in Conwy leaving detectives baffled over who they belonged to

A picture of what a man whose skeletal remains were found in woodland could look like, will be revealed for the first time on tonight’s Crimewatch programme.
Last November, two brothers were camping in a forest in Cerrigydrudion ahead of the Wales Rally GB, when they uncovered human remains while searching for firewood.
North Wales Police launched a large scale forensic search around Clocaenog forest near Pentrellyncymmer, and were able to recover virtually an entire male skeleton.
Pathology indicated the man - believed to be over the age of 54 - had died from blunt trauma to the head, and a murder investigation was launched.
Since then, detectives have worked tirelessly to find the identity of the man, and despite gathering some vital clues, his identity is still unknown.
He is believed to have been wearing a green Pringle jumper produced between 2000 and 2004, and had had extensive dental work done.
Dr John Rosie said specialist dental work was done on the crown between 1980 and 2000 and the highly distinctive nature of the work could lead to identification.

Tests on the skeleton and skull have produced a DNA profile and police have identified the body to be a man between 5”8 and 5”11 and likely to be over 54 years old at the time of death.
Detective sergeant Dewi Harding Jones said: “We have to find out who this person is before we can investigate what happened to him and why.
“Hopefully we can identify the person and give the victim’s family some answers to this mystery.”
On tonight’s Crimewatch on BBC One, detectives will reveal for the first time a detailed picture of what the victim could have looked like and appeal for help from anyone who may recognise a loved one or friend.
They’ve worked closely with a leading forensic artist and odontologist on the case, both of whom will reveal what they know on the programme at 9pm on BBC One.
