A MAN has admitted holding-up two Swansea corner shops at knife-point in the space of just 20 minutes.
Ricky Lee Richards raided the Premier store on Llangyfelach Street, Brynmelyn, and the Spar shop on Carmarthen Road, Waun Wen, on the morning of Sunday, August 21.
The 27-year-old fled the first shop empty handed, but took tobacco and cash from the second before making off.
Today Richards, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery, to robbery, and to possessing a bladed article in public when he appeared in the dock of Swansea Crown Court.
The court heard Richards has previous convictions for violence and the use of a knife, and Judge Philip Harris-Jenkins said he wanted a report into the defendant's dangerousness before passing sentence — matters were adjourned to October 10, and Richards was remanded into custody.
