A man was assaulted in an early-hours incident in Llanelli – then attacked again before having his wallet stolen in a robbery just minutes later.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said the “young” man was assaulted close to the Master Cabs taxi rank at the town’s railway station at around 12.40am on Sunday.
“The same man was walking along Station Road a short time later when a man got out of a car and assaulted him and stole his wallet,” the spokesman added.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to either incident to contact them.
The spokesman added: “Any piece of information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could greatly assist the investigation and ensure all those responsible are dealt with.”
Witnesses can contact police on 101.
