Andrew Wright, 50, was found guilty of sexually abusing two young girls

A man branded "evil" by a judge has been locked up for more than eight years.
Andrew Wright, 50, from the Holyhead area, was found guilty by a jury of serious sexual abuse against two young girls after a seven day trial at Caernarfon Crown Court.
The jury heard the case involved the serious sexual abuse of two young girls. One of the charges dated back more than 10 years.
Jailing him for a total of eight years and nine months earlier this week, Judge Merfyn Hughes QC said: "There is evidence in this case that demonstrates you are a man with a significant interest in children."
The judge added he was satisfied the indecent images found on his computers were to be shown to others.
Elen Owen, prosecuting, told the jury the victim had made a complaint of serious sexual abuse to police at the time and a videotaped interview was made but a decision not to charge Wright was taken.
When the police received a complaint from the second girl in 2013 the earlier complaint was looked at again.
"He was arrested and various items including computer discs and computers were seized from him and examined," Ms Owen said.
The remaining charges he faces relate to images that were found and 37 of these images were deemed to be indecent and six were of the most serious type.
Interviewed by officers late last year he denied any sexual interest in young girls.
After being found guilty his barrister, Kim Halsall, said he was realistic that the sentence the judge would hand down would be one of immediate custody.
Wright was told that upon release he must sign the sex offenders register and his details will remain on it indefinitely.
