POLICE are appealing for help after a vulnerable teenager with autism was assaulted in a Swansea park in broad day light.
The 17-year-old was set upon in Cwmrhydyceirw Park on Sunday lunchtime, suffering facial injuries that later needed treatment in hospital.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in or around the Morriston park at 1pm and who has any information to come forward.
Police have released descriptions of two youngsters in their late teens who they want to talk to in connection with the incident - one is described as having short, dark brown, "loose curl" hair, and wearing a black hooded jumper, while the other has short black hair and was wearing a grey hooded jumper and carrying a mobile phone with a blue cover.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Police are investigating an assault, which occurred at approximately 1pm on September 25 in Cwmrhydyceirw Park, in Swansea.
"The 17 year-old male, who is vulnerable and suffers from autism, was assaulted by two unknown suspects and was left with facial injuries requiring hospital treatment.
"If anyone has information in regards to this incident, please call police."
