There was a confrontation in the street on Tuesday morning
Two men were injured during a fight on a street just before 10am in the Grangetown area of Cardiff .
One witness described how an object that looked like a hammer was seen at the scene of the fight and a man was bleeding from his head.
A witness described seeing a man in his pyjamas apparently involved in a confrontation with a man dressed in a suit and carrying a briefcase.
The incident was reported just before 10am on Tuesday in Ferry Road, Grangetown.
An area of the street was cordoned off by police.
A witness said: "There was blood coming from the head of the man in his pyjamas. The police were called and around six police cars and 15 officers appeared on the scene. An ambulance also arrived later."
Two men were later taken from the scene in two separate ambulances.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "At 9.46am today, police were called to Ferry Road in response to a report of a fight in the street.
"Two people involved in the incident have sustained injuries which are not life threatening and they have been taken to hospital.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing but police do not believe anybody else was involved."
