A woman nightclub reveller has caused outrage after being caught on camera defecating in a city centre street.
The woman, who appears to be in her early twenties, was caught in the act by a mobile phone camera and a disgusting three-minute video was later posted onto Facebook.
It shows another young woman acting as a lookout while her friend lifts up her dress, pulls down her underwear and proceeds to defecate on the pavement.
The shocking incident will raise fresh concerns about the shocking scenes caused by endemic binge drinking in the UK's city centres.
Police were yesterday examining the video and say a criminal offence may have been committed.
The young woman had been out in Swansea, South Wales, when she committed the degrading act in the city’s Princess Way.
Her face can be seen clearly at the start of the three-minute video.
She was then filmed lifting up her grey dress and pulling her knickers down to just above her knees.
As she carries out her appalling act her lookout friend squats down behind her to urinate.
Other revellers were walking past as the two women soiled the pavement.

Swansea,South Wales - Rapist jailed for 12 years after 'horrific' attack on woman as she walked to work

A rapist who attacked a woman in a street as she walked to work has been jailed for 12 years.

The 22-year-old victim was raped twice after being knocked to the ground on a Swansea street

Swansea Crown Court heard the woman had been subjected to “an horrific and life-changing” attack.
Elias Hussain Mahmud knocked his victim to ground and shouted threats as he raped her twice in the Hafod area of Swansea.
The city’s Crown Court heard the 22-year-old was caught by police less than an hour later.
Mahmud, of Stanley Terrace, Mount Pleasant, Swansea, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by penetration, two counts of rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and making a threat to kill when he appeared in the dock.

Arrested 'within minutes'

The court heard the attack had had a profound impact on the victim, leaving her frightened to leave the house.
Mahmud had come to Britain in 2015 as an illegal immigrant, and was subsequently granted leave to remain in the country until 2020.
The court heard that on the morning of April 14 Mahmud approached his victim from behind as she walked along Neath Road, and launched his attack.
After a struggle he knocked the woman to the floor and raped her before running off.
He was arrested around 45-minutes after the attack when police responded to calls from residents living in Pottery Street — off New Cut Road — about a man acting suspiciously in the area. Officers were on the scene within minutes and arrested the Ethiopian asylum-seeker.
Mahmud was sentenced to 12 years in prison for each of the assault by penetration charges and the rape charges — all to run concurrently — and two years for the actual bodily harm, to run concurrently with the sexual assault charges. The making threats to kill charge will lay on the file.

'Rare attack'

South Wales Police detective chief inspector Esyr Jones said he wanted to assure people that “stranger attacks” were rare in Swansea – and that they were always thoroughly investigated.
He said: “This was a very serious incident which understandably caused a lot of public concern.
“A lone female was walking to work when she was assaulted and raped in terrifying circumstances. This incident has had a life-changing impact on the victim and our thoughts first and foremost are with her.
“Stranger attacks, such as this one, are rare in Swansea but when they do occur we have specialist officers to thoroughly investigate these crimes and with independent partner agencies are able to provide support and care to victims.”

Callum Williams, 18, was locked up for a year after admitting to causing grievous bodily harm, intent to resist arrest, assault and damaging property

A policewoman suffered a broken leg as she and colleagues struggled with a powerfully-built “out of control” teenager, a court heard.
Callum Williams, 18, of a farm at Adwy, near Coedpoeth, Wrexham, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to PC Michelle Shirley with intent to resist arrest, assault and damaging property. He was locked up for a year.
Mold crown court heard that in June police were called to a domestic dispute at Williams’ home and the teenager had damaged a car wing mirror. Four officers arrived.
Prosecuting counsel John Philpotts said: “This defendant was extremely agitated. He was abusive and to some extent threatening.”
Incapacitant spray was used on Williams but he grabbed a PC’s throat and there was a violent struggle. He also spat in an officer’s face.
WPC Shirley was attempting to restrain Williams when the injury occurred.
Mr Philpotts said the officer had surgery and it would be nine months before she recovered fully.
Judge Niclas Parry said Williams had been “totally out of control” and the grievous bodily harm was caused “recklessly.”
The judge added: ”This is a serious example of the day-to-day dangers faced by police officers and they look to the court for protection.”

A MAN received at least 20 punches and had been kicked and stamped upon by two assailants in a Rhyl takeaway, a court heard.
Dale May, 21, unemployed, of Ffynnon Nefydd, Llannefydd, Denbigh, admitted common assault in March but disputed that he also headbutted the victim.
Magistrates at Llandudno imposed a twelve weeks suspended jail term and a six weeks 7pm-7am curfew with a rehabilitation activity requirement.
May must also pay £200 compensation and £700 costs. A two-year restraining order was made.
Prosecutor James Neary said the second assailant was wanted by police. The victim, Carl Reeves, had been bruised and sore.
Defence solicitor Craig Hutchinson said it was a “chance” meeting with Mr Reeves in the food outlet. “There’s bad blood between Mr May, his family, and the victim in this case,” the lawyer remarked.
Mr Hutchinson accepted it was a “serious, sustained attack.”

Wrexham,North Wales - Vicar says Wrexham church garden is being used as a rubbish dump

A RECENTLY-renovated church garden is being used as a dumping ground, according to the parish vicar.
Inconsiderate people going to St John’s church in Rhosymedre are leaving “heaps” of old flowers and other rubbish in the church’s garden when visiting their family’s graves.
The Rev Kate Tiltman said it was spoiling a space refurbished at great expense only last year.
She added members of the congregation shared her discontent about the issue.
Many of the people doing this, she says, would be very quick to complain if their family’s graves at the church were not kept tidy.
Mrs Tiltman said: “Last year we planted the garden with flowers, but people use it to dump their old flowers in.
“It’s annoying as we spent about £6,000 trying to get the church yard decent and we have used pretty much all of our reserves.
“The people who are doing it seem to think they can leave their rubbish anywhere.
“There is a big skip which is emptied regularly, but people just dump their rubbish.”
Mrs Tiltman said the garden area, which is used by the Sunday school children, has now become a “heap” of old flowers and other rubbish.
“We have what was once a nice attractive garden area, but is now a heap of rubbish and dead flowers,” she said.
“What is really annoying is that we spent all of our money trying to improve the area but in return, nobody seems to treat it well.”
Mrs Tiltman said local children’s groups such as the cubs and beavers have expressed an interest in using the space, but due to the state it is in they cannot.
“I would like these people to show a bit more respect and thought for other people,” she added. “It’s about respecting the church and what other people are trying to do.
“Having spent all of our money to try and improve the area and respond to local concerns, we are not getting the same level of concern back.”

Buckley,North Wales - Fears landfill expansion plans will turn Buckley into 'dumping capital of Wales'

Though Buckley was already one big Landfill site!
LANDFILL expansion plans risk turning a town into the ‘dumping capital of Wales’ a councillor has warned.
Buckley Mountain councillor Carol Ellis has expressed serious concerns over plans to expand the operations of two existing landfill sites in the town.
Both Thorncliffe Recycling on Ewloe Barn Industrial Estate and the operators of Parry’s Quarry on Pinfold Lane have pushed to expand their operations in recent months.
Cllr Ellis said: “We are in danger of becoming the dumping capital of Wales here.
“The waste is coming in not just from Flintshire but from all over the north west and Wales and with that comes increased traffic.
“These sites have the potential to be huge and they are just dropping it all in our little community here.”
The Parry’s Quarry site, operated by RJS Civil Engineering Limited, had an application for a permit turned down by Natural Resources Wales last year over concerns about potential odour problems.
They have now lodged a fresh application, based on new technology, meaning a permit could be granted for the site to take 325,000 tonnes of waste every year.
As part of the application, they have also indicated they would like to dispose of asbestos at the site.
Serious concerns have been raised by Cllr Ellis and Buckley Town Council over the quarry operators also applying to Flintshire Council to have several conditions of their planning permission – which was approved on appeal – amended.
In documents submitted to Flintshire Council, the town council said: “The original planning application in relation to this matter was approved by an inspector appointed by the Welsh Assembly Government.
“The approval granted contained a number of conditions that had to be adhered to in proceeding with the approval.
“There had been numerous requests for changes to the conditions which were put in place to protect the environment, the neighbourhood, nearby residents and highways.
“The number of changes requested to the conditions meant the inspector’s approval now bore little resemblance to what the applicant wished to do.”
Thorncliffe Recycling recently had proposals to extend the working hours at the site and increase the height of stockpiles refused by Flintshire Council’s planning committee.
Cllr Ellis added: “We are getting all of the disadvantages with no real advantage. We as a town don’t receive anything from the landfill sites.
“People are really concerned about the plans.”
Alyn and Deeside AM Carl Sargeant also added his concerns to the situation.
In a letter to Flintshire Council’s chief executive Colin Everett, he said: “I have been approached by residents and councillors in Buckley who are deeply concerned that with Thorncliffe Recycling looking to extend its operations and with the Parry’s Quarry situation at the tipping licence stage, the county council is turning Buckley into the waste centre of the county.
“My constituents have long been of the opinion that they do not see enough being done to help regenerate the retail/social side of the area and are worried that the sorts of operations already referred to will do nothing to encourage the regeneration they are looking for.”
Buckley has had a contentious history concerning landfill projects, with a number of different areas used for landfill over the past 30 to 40 years.
Neither Thorncliffe Recycling nor RJS Civil Engineering Limited could be contacted for comment.

A WOMAN jumped into the canal in a bid to escape from police.
Officers went to the Richmond Court hostel for homeless people in Spital Walk, Chester, following reports that a woman from Wrexham had breached a restraining order.
When the officers arrived at about 8.20pm on Wednesday the woman jumped into the canal and attempted to swim across to try to evade capture.
Witnesses to the incident said that the woman was screaming: “I’m not going back to jail.”
Firefighters from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service used a boat to rescue her and threw her a rope before she was passed into the care of the paramedics and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital. A member of the public also helped during the rescue.
A 31-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order.
The woman is not a resident of Richmond Court and a restraining order has been placed ordering her not go near there.
She was taken into police custody.

North Wales, UK - Number of North Wales women sent to prison soars by 45%

12/02/08...Pic Paul Chappells..Cornton vale women's prison in Stirling....unidentified female prisoner in cell.
The number of women given sentences of less than six months more than doubled in five years

The number of women jailed rose from 74 to 107 between 2010 and 2015, compared to an increase in the Wales average of just 4%

The number of women in North Wales being sent to prison has soared by nearly 50% in five years.
Official figures show that, between 2010 and 2015, the number of women jailed rose from 74 to 107 - an increase of 45%.
The Wales average over that period rose by just 4%, according to the figures obtained by Delyn MP David Hanson.
The number of women given sentences of less than six months more than doubled in five years, rising from 35 to 75.
It has sparked calls to stop jailing women for less than six months for crimes such as theft and drugs offences.
Campaigners argue prison does nothing to rehabilitate women convicted of petty crimes, which may be caused by mental health problems, addictions or difficult social backgrounds.
They want more use of community orders instead of custody and say that, at the point of arrest, women should be referred to specialist centres like the one in Rhyl to seek help.
The most prevalent crime for which women were jailed over the five-year period was theft, which accounted for 179 crimes and rose from 21 in 2010 to 58 in 2015.
Howard Thomas, a former North Wales chief probation officer, said: “The re-offending rates are high, children are at risk of being taken into care, and studies show that many female offenders have complex backgrounds, poor mental health, addictions and other problems which can never be properly addressed in a prison setting.”
Mr Hanson said: “What is important is reducing reoffending. All evidence shows that this fails when we use short-term sentences for women.
“While women who commit crimes need to be punished for their actions, instead of short term sentences, a community penalty and help will in the long term change behaviour better.”
Dr Thomas Guiney of the Prison Reform Trust said: “The vast majority of women have committed non-violent offences and many are held far from home, causing significant disruption to family life and their chances of rehabilitation.
“We know that most of the solutions to women’s offending lie outside prison walls in effective community approaches that enable women to take control of their lives, care for their children and address the causes of their offending.”
A Ministry of Justice spokesman said: “Sentencing is a matter for the independent judiciary, who base decisions on the facts of the case.
“Crime is falling and fewer women are entering the justice system accused of serious offences, with the female prison population now consistently under 4,000 for the first time in a decade.”
