Arsonists are thought to have torched a car in Wrexham during the early hours of this morning.
A fire crew from Wrexham was called to Crossways at Caia Park at 3.48am following reports of a car being on fire.
According to the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service , the car was completely ablaze when the crew arrived, who managed to put out the fire.
The car is understood to have been destroyed with the fire service confirming that the fire is thought to have been started deliberately.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We were called to a deliberate ignition at Caia Park this morning at 3.48am.
“One crew from Wrexham was in attendance and have used two hose reel jets. Its thought to be a deliberate fire.”
The Caia Park area of the town has seen almost 60 deliberate fires in the last year, with the levels of arson in the county being among the highest in England and Wales.
