POLICE in Swansea are appealing for witnesses after an apparent row over a contested parking space escalated.
A 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after becoming involved in a dispute with a woman over parking at the Knab Rock car park in Mumbles. A 40-year-old man has also been interviewed in connection with the matter.
The incident happened around 3pm on August bank holiday Monday, and officers are appealing for anyone with information about the dispute - which involved a blue or purple car - to come forward.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Police in Swansea are appealing for witnesses to an incident which happened at the Knab Rock car park in Mumbles over the August bank holiday weekend.
"Officers investigating the allegations of assault are appealing for any witnesses to the incident."
