Luke George Jones, 33, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 17 years after being found guilty of the murder of Natasha Bradbury at her Haverfordwest home

A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of the murder of his ex-girlfriend.
Luke George Jones, 33, of Hakin, Milford Haven, will serve a minimum of 17 years after being convicted of the murder of Natasha Bradbury this morning following a trial at Swansea Crown Court.
He had denied the charge.
During the trial the court had heard Ms Bradbury’s lifeless body was found at her home inHaverfordwest on February 22 after the property had been “smashed up”.
During the opening of the case, the prosecution said Jones had “savagely” beaten Miss Bradbury to death in her flat in Imperial Court, High Street, days after ending their three-year relationship.
The Crown alleged the killing was motivated by jealousy after Jones learned Ms Bradbury had slept with another man since becoming single again.

Sentencing later today

Jurors heard that at the two-bedroomed terraced flat, there were blood stains found on sinks, banisters and walls.
Two days before her death, Miss Bradbury’s former partner Jones had sent her scores of messages asking her to speak to him, the jury was told.
Ms Bradbury suffered cracked ribs as well as injuries to her neck, brain heart and liver.
Jones had told the jury he acted in self-defence saying she attacked him while they were high on drugs.
He said Ms Bradbury had “lunged” at him and accepted he grabbed her by the throat and kicked her.
