The grandparents of Gareth Bale's fiancée were allegedly victims of an arson attack after their house and car were targeted, it has been reported.
Emma Rhys-Jones' grandparents - who are 79 and 84 - have lived at their home in Cardiff for 30 years.
According to The Sun, their home was damaged and car set on fire. A second car was also reportedly covered in petrol, but not set alight.
Following the Euro 2016 tournament this year Bale proposed to Emma - his childhood sweetheart since they met at Whitchurch High School in Cardiff.
The couple, who now live in Madrid, have two daughters together, Alba Violet and Nava Valentina.
Emma was reportedly told of the incident at her grandparents' home by phone.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police are investigating an incident reported on September 15 of a vehicle fire and damage to a property, which is being treated as criminal damage and arson."
