A BUSINESS owner concerned that changes to bin collections in Conwy poses a ‘health risk’ says the problem of over-flowing bins and flytipping is as bad as ever.
Graham Gibbons, who owns G.S Gibbons TV shop in Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, says that rubbish is strewn all over the alleyway behind his premises because the bins are overflowing after just one week, and he fears the situation will become much worse when council plans are implemented to collect the bins every three weeks.
"When The Pioneer reported the story a month ago, the council sent people round to clear up the mess, and it was better, for a time, " said Graham.

"But since it has been out of the news for a couple of weeks, the problem behind my shop is as bad as ever.
"It's revolting. I am sick and tired of this issue not being addressed properly by the council and I dread to think how much worse it will become once the collections change to three-weekly, or heaven forbid, four-weekly. It’s a health risk as it is.”
A spokesman for Conwy Council said: "The council is aware of these issues and is working with businesses
and residents in the area to resolve the matter.”
