TWO heroin addicts have been jailed for an attempted robbery which saw their victim pummelled six times in the head with a hammer.
Andrew John Lawrence and Sarah Frances Adams admitted attempting to rob a walker in an unprovoked "two-pronged attack" in a Llansamlet park.
Lawrence, aged 28, of Heol Dulais, Birchgrove, threatened the victim with a three-inch blade, while Adams, aged 27, of no fixed address, struck Gerald Leslie Jones to the head numerous times with a hammer, Swansea Crown Court heard.
Prosecuting, Nicola Powell said Mr Jones was on May 27 walking in Primrose Park, Llansamlet, when he was approached by the duo.
