Swansea,South Wales - Police appeal for help after attempted bag snatch from Swansea schoolgirl

POLICE investigating an attempted bag-snatch from a schoolgirl in the Sketty area of Swansea have released a description of a man they want to speak to.
The 15-year-old was approached from behind as she walked home from school at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, and an attempt was made to steal her bag.
The girl turned around and shouted at the man who then ran-off along Maes y Gollen towards Parklands Church.

Police have issued a description of a man they want to talk to in connection with the incident - he is described as being white, aged between 19 and 25, around 5ft 3in tall and of a medium build, and with brown eyes and stubble. He was wearing a tracksuit top and bottoms.

Extra police patrols are being carried out in the area, and officers are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.
South Wales Police local inspector Paul Thomas said: "We are carrying out an investigation into this incident and I would appeal to anyone with information or any witnesses to contact the police.
"Due to its location and the time of day, this incident may cause some concern among parents.
"We will take this opportunity to liaise with the local school and remind children of the stranger danger message.
"We will also carry out additional patrols in the area to offer some rea
