A woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after the vehicle crashed through railings
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and three people are seriously injured in hospital after a car crashed through railings and onto a beach.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing a woman being led away in handcuffs close to where the incident happed in Rhos on Sea.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s and wearing dark clothing, was being held by officers, according to eyewitness reports.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today at 2.23pm to reports that a car carrying three people had fallen on to rocks in the area of the promenade near St Trillo's Chapel in Rhos on Sea.
"We responded with three emergency ambulances, one rapid response vehicle and worked with colleagues on board a search and rescue helicopter to treat three patients at the scene.
"Two patients (one adult and one teenager) were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by air ambulance and another adult patient was taken by land ambulance to Bodelwyddan Hospital, all with serious injuries."
An eyewitness told the Daily Post that the car involved in the smash has ended up "badly damaged" on rocks.
