Wrexham,North Wales - Man arrested over spate Wrexham car fires

A 38-year-old has been arrested after seven vehicles were torched in the Hightown area on Saturday morning

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a spate of car fires in Wrexham.
In total, seven vehicles were torched in the Hightown area of the town early on Saturday morning.
North Wales Police have now arrested a 38-year-old man from the Wrexham area in connection with the blazes.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were first called to a vehicle fire on Hillbury Road at about 6.40am, with another fire at nearby Saxon Street at 6.47am.
In the space of the next hour, they were called to another five vehicle fires in the same area of Wrexham.
DCI Neil Harrison said: “The investigation is ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who may have information to contact North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference S162991.”
