A MAN who punched a nightclub bouncer in the face when he was refused entry was on a suspended sentence for his part in a gang attack on his former brother-in-law.
Swansea Court Court heard that Joshua Taylor, from Port Talbot, had previously been banned from entering PopWorld on Swansea's Wind Street when he tried to get into the premises in the early hours of September 13.
A member of door staff repeatedly refused him entry, eventually pushing him away from the entrance.

CCTV footage was played to the court which showed Taylor hanging around the area, and the next time the door staff opened the door the 23-year-old punched him in the mouth then walked off. He was arrested a short time later on Wind Street.
Taylor, of Ford Road, had previously pleaded guilty to assault by beating when he appeared in the dock for sentencing.
The court heard the slaughterman, who works in Llanybydder in Carmarthenshire, is "no stranger to the courts", and has previous convictions for violence including for affray, wounding and actual bodily harm.
In March this year he was given an eight-month suspended sentence for an incident which saw Taylor and three other men chase his former brother-in- law to a car park, punch him to the ground and repeatedly kick him to the head and body.
Judge Peter Heywood said he would activate five months of the suspended sentence given in March, and add a month for the PopWord assault.
He said: "There is far too much violence in the city centre of Swansea — week-in, week-out, people behave in a similar way.
"I have to punish you, and also send a message that it is not acceptable."
