Police and coastguard scrambled to the shoreline at around 4.15am to respond to reports of screaming in water

Police and coastguard were called after a row erupted in the sea at Rhyl early this morning.
Reports of screams from the waters edge at the seaside resort sparked the emergency services to investigate at about 4.15am.
It is unclear how many people were involved in the pitch black shoreline bust-up, but a “despondent person” had to be escorted back to shore who was suffering from hypothermia.
They were treated by paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service .
A series of tweets were sent by the Rhyl Coastguard Team documenting the incident.
The first said: “Mission 71/2015 - reports of screams from the waters edge at Rhyl. Tasked to investigate. @NWPolice also in attendance.”
The next to tweets said: “Police had detained a despondent person and escorted back to shore. Person was suffering the effects of exposure and was passed to the @WelshAmbulance for medical care. Stood down on arrival at scene, all persons accounted for.”
A Coastguard spokesman said: “The people involved were aged in their 20s, they were having an argument in the water.
