A CAT rescued and adopted by an RSPCA inspector has been shot for a second time in Wrexham.
Tim Jones adopted Ossy when he was a kitten, after he found him in an emaciated state.
He became part of the family, but has been injured twice by an air gun pellet.
It was in March when Ossy returned home limping after being shot with an air gun. The pellet passed through his body and finished up cracking his femur.
Ossy made a full recovery but has now been targeted again.
“Shockingly Ossy has been shot again,” said Inspector Jones.
“We took him straight to the vets and he has had an operation. The pellet has been removed and physically he should be okay. He is now a nervous wreck and it will take a while before he gets his confidence back. He has been through so much.”
It is thought that the incident on Tuesday evening at around 6pm in the Pant Olwen/Pant Lane area of Gresford, Wrexham.
“We’re making enquiries and the police have been informed,” said Inspector Jones.
“This once again shows the suffering that one person with an air weapon can cause.”
