A MAN drove off in temper in his partner’s mobility vehicle and crashed it.
Aiden Mis, 24, took the virtually new Peugeot car from his partner’s home in Park Crescent, Penyffordd, near Mold.
He crashed it in Chester Road, Broughton, causing an estimated £40,000 worth of damage after he hit two other vehicles.
Mis, of North Street, Saltney Ferry, admitted the aggravated taking on July 9, no insurance and a driving licence offence at an earlier hearing.
At Mold Crown Court yesterday he received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
He was ordered to do 30 days of rehabilitation and carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
Judge Niclas Parry banned him from driving for 12 months. He told Mis he had a poor criminal record.
He had been “an utter idiot”, but had co-operated with police and admitted what he had done.
In a “fit of temper” he took his partner’s vehicle which she relied on as a mother of two young children.
