A TEENAGER has admitted setting fire to a number of cars in a town.
Adam Stephen Evans, 18, from the Holywell area appeared at Mold Crown Court via a live link from prison.
He pleaded guilty to a total of 12 arson charges after a dozen vehicles were set alight in the town in the early hours of Saturday, August 29.
Two of the original charges alleged that life was endangered but the prosecution changed them to charges of arson, being reckless as to whether life would be endangered.
He also admitted five charges of theft from vehicles.
Evans, of Nant y Coed, Penymaes, was further remanded in custody by Judge Niclas Parry for a psychiatric and a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
He will be sentenced in November.
Evans, a gardener, had previously been remanded in custody partly for his own protection because the spate of fires were said to have caused widespread anger and concern in the town.
