The convicted rapist was sentenced at Mold Crown Court on Thursday but managed to avoid more time in jail because of a legal loophole

This is the face of a violent rapist and convicted child abuser who escaped further imprisonment through a legal loophole.
Jaswinder Singh Grewal was convicted at Mold Crown Court on Thursday of the historic, systematic abuse of a seven-year-old girl from North Wales .
Because of the law regarding sexual offenders under the age of 18 years – he was a youngster when he committed the offence – Judge Niclas Parry had no alternative but to deliver a strict community penalty due to time served on remand.
“I have no hesitation in finding you pose a risk to the public, especially females,” said Judge Parry.
Even his defence barrister Jonathan Austin said: “I am representing a man who does not accept his guilt.”

He will soon be released into a bail hostel in Gwynedd for a year, then be subject to a two year residency order.
His victim, who has lifelong anonymity under the law, told the Daily Post it was important that his picture was made public in order to protect other women.
She said: “I think it’s important for people to know what he looks like and for people to keep safe from him.
“They need to know what he looks like because he is a danger – he is a threat to every single female.”
Grewal was also convicted 15 years ago of the kidnap and rape of a Newport woman, whom he picked up on her way to work, bound her and subjected her to repeated rapes over a terrifying 15-hour period.
Leading forensic psychologist Dr Ian Stephen told the South Wales Argus during his trial for that offence that Grewal was “a psychopath and a woman hater who will feel no sorrow for what he has done”.
He also has 41 convictions ranging from sexual assault to robbery and rape.
His North Wales victim feared that Grewal would go on to commit other crimes. “All we can do now is sit and wait and see what happens next,” she said.
“It is the fear of what he is going to do next and who he is going to hurt.
“I do think the police will do everything in their power to keep the public safe. I just hope that is enough.”
Grewal was sentenced to a Sexual Harm Prevention order, banning him indefinitely from living with any female, or driving or owning a car without informing the authorities.
