Julie Elizabeth Imrie, 50, of Maes Hyfryd, Rhosrobin was around four times over the legal drink drive limit when caught
A drunk woman with a history of drink driving was found slumped over her steering wheel still clutching a bottle of wine, a court heard.
Julie Elizabeth Imrie, 50, was around four times over the legal drink drive limit, Flintshire Magistrates’ Court at Mold was told.
She had 376 miligrammes of alcohol in her blood compared to the legal limit of 80.
Imrie, of Maes Hyfryd, Rhosrobin near Wrexham , admitted being in charge of her vehicle while drunk.
Imrie, who had a previous conviction for drink driving, was banned from driving for two years and was placed on a 12-month community order with rehabilitation.
She was fined £130 with £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.
The court was told that she had not drunk alcohol since the incident and had no intention of driving in future.
Rhian Jackson, prosecuting, told the court that police found Imrie slumped over the steering wheel of a Peugeot 407 parked at a bus stop in Dodd’s Lane in Gwersyllt, on August 5.
She was holding a bottle of wine in her left hand and later told police that she had drunk wine and half a bottle of vodka.
Victoria Evans, defending, said that her client had been caring for her father who unfortunately had since died.
At the time she had been visiting him three or four times a day.
She was extremely remorseful for committing the offence, she said.
