A former vicar has been placed on the sex offenders register after he admitted distributing indecent images of children.
Jason Kennett-Orpwood, 59, of Hampshire Drive in Wrexham, has been warned that all sentencing options will remain open including custody.
The defendant was vicar of Bistre in Buckley until his resignation in 1999.
At the time he received a police caution for making indecent images of boys by downloading them off the internet.
But earlier this year he appeared in court for making and possessing indecent images of children.
Then he faced a second set of proceedings alleging that he distributed images.
Yesterday both cases were heard together and he admitted a total of 11 charges of distribution, making and possessing the illegal images.
He appeared in the dock at Mold Crown Court and pleaded guilty to three charges of distributing movie images and six charges of making indecent images by downloading them off the internet.
He also admitted possessing 66 indecent movies of children between April 2011 and May 2015, and possessing 1,425 still images between the same dates.
Judge Niclas Parry asked initially if he should remand the defendant in custody for his own safety.
But following representations from Robin Boag, defending, who said Kennett-Orpwood had the support of his wife and daughter in court, the judge agreed to bail him pending sentence next month.
Judge Parry told him that all sentencing options should remain open.
Kennett-Orpwood has three days to register with the police as a sex offender.
