A ginger cat has been found dead in a snare in Powys, prompting an RSPCA appeal for information.
Dog walkers found the young male cat at Brecon Cemetery on Saturday and the charity said there were obvious signs of a struggle.
It said the owner of the cemetery was "shocked and appalled" to find a further five snares on the land.
The cat was not microchipped and the charity is appealing for information to identify its owner.
A snare is a wire noose attached to a stake or heavy object that acts as an anchor.
They are usually set to catch foxes or rabbits, but often their victims include badgers, cats or dogs.
