Rhondda Cynon Taf,South Wales - McDonald's Abercynon Maggot Found deep fried in chip

You do have to wonder why someone would go to all the trouble of ringing the press on a nonsense  story like this! Ok it's not nice but these things happen, bugs hide in veg. You just know this will be legal action here!
due to the noise being made.I hope they don't pay, just an apology and few vouchers, that's all.

A mother was left 'disgusted and appalled' after finding a maggot inside her son's fries following a family trip to McDonald's.
Charlotte Clements visited the Nantgarw branch of the fast food chain with her husband Stephen and their three children, Nicole, Holly and Jarred on Saturday morning.
The 33-year-old, from Abercynon , said they stopped at the restaurant "as a treat for the kids" while they were out shopping.
But halfway through eating their food, Charlotte noticed the creature lurking in her 12-year-old son Jarred's food.

She said: "We were halfway through eating and my son spotted something in his chips. My husband thought it was a potato eye at first but then we realised what it was."

"I still haven't been able to eat anything. Every time I look at food I feel so sick it's really turned me."

Charlotte took the fries back to the store and was given a refund, but says the incident has left her angry and upset.

"I'm just so angry. I still haven't been able to eat anything. Every time I look at food I feel so sick it's really turned me," she said.
Charlotte wrote about her experience on Facebook, and the post has been shared nearly 4,000 times.
She wrote: "Absolutely tamping, disgusted and appalled. I took the kids to McDonald's in Nantgarw and this is what was inside Jarred's chip!

"Either a meal worm or maggot! Hard to tell as its been deep fried.
"To say I'm absolutely disgusted is an understatement! Beyond belief!"

McDonald's have now said that they are investigating the incident and have sent the fry for analysis.
A spokesman for McDonald's said: “We apologise for Ms Clements’ experience. Food hygiene and safety is of the highest importance to us and we launched a full investigation into this incident as soon as it was brought to our attention.
"The item has been sent for analysis to determine where it originated and there is no evidence to suggest any other products were affected.”
