Motorcyclist pronounced dead at the scene of the A541 crash on Monday morning
A motorist arrested after a crash which killed a biker has been bailed by police.
The motorcyclist died after the smash on the A541 near Mold on Monday morning.
The driver of a Ford Fiesta involved in the collision was arrested after failing a roadside drugs swipe test.
North Wales Police have now said the 45-year-old man has been bailed pending further inquiries.
The biker, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene on Chester Road near the junction of the A5118.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the busy carriageway just before 10am.
Detectives have appealed to witnesses to come forward.
A passing motorist told the Daily Post on Monday: “I saw the car in the middle of the road. The air bag had been inflated and the driver was still behind the wheel.
“The motorbike was lying on its side badly damaged. I couldn’t see the rider.”
