Swansea,South Wales - Woman drunkenly shouted at staff and patients in A&E - in the hospital where she works

Dorothy Pritchard pleaded guilty to a public order offence at Swansea Magistrates Court
A HOSPITAL worker who was being treated as a patient in A&E exposed herself and began drunkenly swearing at staff and patients, a court has heard.
Dorothy Pritchard had been taken unconscious to the Morriston casualty unit on December 17, but when she came around exposed herself and then launched into a 20 minute tirade of foul language "repeatedly swearing at staff and members of the public".
Security staff called the police, and the 58-year-old was arrested.

Lisa Jones, prosecuting, told Swansea Magistrates Court that A&E was busy at the time with a lot of patients — including a number of elderly patients — being seen by medics.
Pritchard, of Pen-y-Dre, Gowerton, pleaded guilty to a public order offence when she appeared before justices.
The court heard that police and the Crown Prosecution Service would not consider giving Pritchard a caution instead of charging her because of a zero tolerance approach towards the abuse or harassment of staff working in the health service.
Pritchard, who represented herself in court, said she was "full of remorse" for her behaviour on day in question, and was getting help for her alcohol problem.
The defendant was fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
Alun Williams, chairman of the bench, told Pritchard her behaviour had been unacceptable.
He said "Working at the hospital I am sure you will understand they are working under pressure helping people. Your language was disgraceful — it was vile.
"Keep out of A&E if you are going to behave like this — they don't want you there."
He added: "We don't ever want to see you before this court again."
