Police have launched an investigation after 20 ducks were found dead with cable tied around their necks.
The birds were discovered today floating in water dead near Rhoscolyn in Anglesey .
North Wales Police Rural Crime Team are appealing for information following the grim discovery.
Officers have called the incident an “unusual case” and said while the cause of death has not been confirmed it “doesn’t look good at all”.
They tweeted: “20 ducks reported floating dead off Rhoscolyn #Anglesey with cable tied around their necks. Unusual case. Ideas or info call 101 pls.#sad
“ We cant distinguish the cause of death, as the ducks weren’t recovered but it doesn’t look good at all. We appeal for info to contact us”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
