This was the scene as a car left the road crashing into the front of a bungalow.

The silver Nissan Micra landed on the handrail causing damage to the front of the property

South Wales Police Roads Policing Unit tweeted the picture after an elderly man driving a Nissan Micra plunged into the bungalow in Quakers Yard in Treharris causing damage to the front of the property.

South Wales Police said there were no injuries after the silver car landed on the handrail.

The incident was tweeted by the police shortly after 11pm on Thursday.
